Introducing our new featured social impact organization! Threading Twine strongly believes in using our platform to advance activism opportunities in various ways along the globe. Previously, we featured Ladki Love and Ignite the Youth Africa. This month, we will be featuring Kuli Kuli, America’s leading moringa brand which works to empower women farmers in developing countries.

Kuli Kuli’s founder, Lisa Kurtis, was introduced to moringa during her time volunteering for the Peace Corps. While in Niger, she experienced a sluggish feeling due to her diet, which is when women at the community health center recommended moringa to her. Lisa founded Kuli Kuli to help these African women farmers use more moringa in local areas but also provide them financial support by selling some of their harvests in the United States.

    The Mission

Kuli Kuli’s mission is to improve nutrition and livelihoods worldwide through moringa. Their vision is to work with women-led farming cooperatives all over the world to drive economic growth, women's empowerment and sustainable agricultural development. Kuli Kuli is creating a world where everyone has the resources and knowledge to access the nutritional power of moringa. By rejuvenating moringa as a tool for nutritional security, the company hopes a new generation will imagine a world without hunger.
